2020 Polymer Clay Challenge Week 11 – 20

Decorated soda can tabs

This was something I wanted to try and this polymer clay challenge gave me the perfect excuse 😁

This was SO MUCH fun! And now I’m on a mission to collect soda can tabs 🤣🤣

Sea creatures

A while ago I made a fishing net type curtain for our bathroom and I decided to make sea creatures to add to it

Scrappy

I followed a tutorial – “No Such Thing as Scrap Clay Tutorial” by Katers Acres … I love this idea of blending scrap clay into new colours and will definitely do this more in future

And I used my new colours and followed another tutorial – “Scrappy Clay Tutorial” by Martin Pottjewijd and made my own mini version of a Scrappy

Handmade tools

I made canes using last week’s scrap clay and decorated my handmade tools. They definitely needed some colour

And I also made a new tool with an old exacto blade. Another tutorial by Katers Acres. The blade is rusted and very old, but perfect for cutting small things

A miniature chocolate pinata cake
2.4cm high

YouTube tutorial by Sweetsofmyown

I like following tutorials because I learn so much in the process

Miniature dentures
2cm long
1.9cm wide
1.6cm high

When I saw a tutorial by Stephanie Kilgast on YouTube – “How to sculpt miniature teeth”, I HAD to give it a try! 😄

Miniature Gingerbread House decorating scene

I had this small wooden table for a while now and decided this week was a good week to do something with it, so I gave it a paint job, made a serviette decoupage tablecloth (because the shops are closed due to lockdown and I can’t get fabric)

I had loads of fun making this

Sugarspoon

I made cupcake beads and decorated this sugarspoon (also something I had in my stash) 😆

A miniature cow
3.5cm high

I don’t know what it is about this cow, but I think she is the cutest cow I have ever made 😍

A quilling cupcake fridge magnet

For this week’s challenge I did something I’ve never tried before … quilling with polymer clay and it was lots of fun
